River Baby

Meet Emily. And Aaron. And the baby.

I first met Emily through the Cleveland fashion scene and immediately noticed not only how talented she was in front of the camera, but also what a genuinely great person she is. It was such an honor to capture these maternity photos just before Emily gave birth.

She was very close to her due date, so we weren’t completely sure we’d be able to fit the session in — but I’m so glad we did. We headed out to the Mohican River in Gatton, and it ended up being the perfect location. Emily and Aaron both love nature, so the peaceful riverside setting fit them perfectly.

We carefully made our way into the water, trying our best to make sure neither the mom-to-be nor the camera took an unexpected swim. Across the river were cool overhanging rocks that created the perfect natural backdrop while also giving us some much-needed shade on a bright sunny day.
